1. Agreement to Terms
By purchasing or using any services provided by DSBM Transport, including but not limited to vehicle recovery, storage, and insurance-related assistance, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use our services.
2. Eligibility and Coverage
- Services are available to registered members only.
- Coverage applies only to the vehicle registered under the service.
- Assistance is subject to availability and operational constraints.
- Vehicles must be in a roadworthy condition at the time the service is requested.
- We reserve the right to refuse service if the vehicle has pre-existing issues that were not disclosed.
3. Exclusions and Limitations
- Recovery services do not cover accidents, damages, or issues caused by negligence.
- We are not liable for delays due to weather conditions, traffic, or unforeseen circumstances.
- Standard recovery services include up to four callouts per year, while extended recovery services allow up to six callouts.
- Vehicles exceeding 3.5 tons are not covered.
- Transportation of goods or passengers beyond the agreed service is not included.
- Assistance may be refused if the vehicle is in an unsafe or hazardous location.
4. Recovery and Storage Charges
- Recovery is charged at £1.50 per mile, calculated from the pick-up location to the storage facility or destination.
- Additional fees apply for out-of-hours recovery (£200 for night-time or weekend recoveries).
- Specialist recovery equipment (winch, rigging, etc.) incurs an additional charge of £25 per use.
- Storage is charged at £28 per 24-hour period, starting from 6:00 PM on the day of arrival.
- Storage charges will continue to accrue until the vehicle is removed.
- Vehicles must be collected within 48 hours of written notice from DSBM, or additional fees may apply.
5. Payment Terms
- Payment must be made in full before vehicle release.
- If an insurance company is responsible for payment, confirmation of coverage must be provided before storage charges are paused or settled.
- Late payments exceeding 30 days may be subject to additional fees, including a 5% monthly interest charge.
- Services are provided on a pay-per-use basis, and payments are required upfront.
- Deposits are non-refundable unless a service is canceled or not provided due to DSBM's fault.
- Failure to make timely payments may result in service suspension or cancellation.
- Klarna Finance is available for eligible customers to provide payment flexibility.
- DSBM Transport reserves the right to modify service pricing with 30 days' notice.
6. Vehicle Collection & Disposal
- Only the registered owner, insurer, or an authorized agent may collect the vehicle.
- Proof of ownership and full payment of outstanding charges must be provided before release.
- If the vehicle is deemed abandoned or remains unpaid for 60 days, DSBM reserves the right to take appropriate action, including disposal in accordance with Scottish law.
7. Liability
- While stored, all vehicles remain the responsibility of the owner or insurer. DSBM is not liable for any damage, theft, or loss beyond reasonable security measures.
- Any claims regarding recovery or storage must be submitted in writing within seven (7) days of the event.
8. Insurance Assistance
- If recovery is covered under an insurance policy, customers must provide proof of coverage before service is rendered.
- Any disputes regarding insurance claims must be resolved between the customer and their insurance provider.
- DSBM is not responsible for delays or denials from insurance companies.
9. Customer Support and Dispute Resolution
For any issues regarding service or billing, please contact our customer support team. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes in a timely manner. If a service is found to be unsatisfactory due to no fault of the customer, we will work towards an appropriate solution; however, refunds are not available for deposits or prepaid services.
