Why a smaller setup can make sense
Sending a large recovery truck is not necessary for every suitable car movement. A 4×4 and the appropriate trailer can keep operating costs down and suit a broad range of planned collections. The actual vehicle and load, towing limits, access and loading method must all be suitable.
Roadside help adds another option
The new service van means a battery, charging or diagnostic enquiry can be assessed as a mobile visit. When appropriate work gets the vehicle going at its location, transport may not be needed. Parts, diagnostic work and attendance are priced for the job.
Difficult loading needs preparation
A missing wheel, locked brake or low car is not a routine drive-on collection. We ask about the condition and use photographs to decide what equipment is needed. Skates and suitable winching are part of the options for assessed recoveries.
A clear price, based on the work
Collection and delivery, vehicle weight and condition, timing and access all affect a quote. We do not advertise a fixed percentage saving against a 16-tonne recovery truck. Some jobs need that truck or specialist equipment, and a cheaper unsuitable setup would not be the right answer.
