Auchnagatt Car Recovery & Transport

On this pageJump to a section

A breakdown around Auchnagatt can interrupt a work journey, a village visit or a day out. DSBM can discuss recovery, roadside assistance and onward vehicle transport. Call with your exact position and explain whether the vehicle is safely parked or still beside the road.

Pinpoint the A948 pickup

Auchnagatt sits on the A948 between Ellon and New Deer. When calling from the road, say which town you were heading towards and whether you have reached the village or stopped outside it. An entrance pin helps distinguish a roadside pickup from a farm or house on the same route. Tell us about any collision damage before we plan loading.

Car will not start after a walk?

The Formartine and Buchan Way passes through Auchnagatt. If you return to a car that will not start, share the car park or street where you left it, not your position along the walking route. Describe what happens when you try to start it and any warning message. We can discuss whether a service-van enquiry or recovery is the appropriate next step, subject to availability.

Plan the journey beyond the pickup

A vehicle may need to go to a repairer in Ellon, elsewhere in Aberdeenshire or further away. Send the actual destination rather than assuming the nearest garage can accept it. Include a contact at the receiving end and any collection deadline. If the car is on a track, explain the surface and available turning space. That information helps us agree a practical job and price before booking.

Before you book in Auchnagatt

Can I send a location from the walking route?

Please send the location of the vehicle. If you are away from it, tell us where it is parked and whether someone can provide the keys at collection.

Do you offer jump-start help around Auchnagatt?

Ask with your registration and symptoms. We check support-unit availability and suitability; a starting problem may need diagnosis or transport rather than a jump start.

How quickly can you get to the A948?

Call for a current estimate once we know the pickup position and problem. We do not display a fixed village arrival promise because availability and conditions change.
