Central Buchan from the Fraserburgh crew. Call 01224 044741 or send GPS — landmarks are sparse at night.

Maud is a small Buchan junction on the A950, with the A981 linking toward Strichen and New Deer. DSBM covers it from Fordafourie, Fraserburgh. At night there are few obvious landmarks on the surrounding roads — a live pin beats “just outside Maud”. Call 01224 044741 or send GPS. Farm yards and the old station-side plots need a gate or unit. Booked transport: quotes.dsbm.uk.

A950, A981 and the farm network.

The A950 runs Peterhead–New Pitsligo through here; the A981 is the Strichen–New Deer door. Neither is a dual carriageway. Passing places on the B-roads fill with agricultural kit. If you are toward Old Deer, Mintlaw or New Deer, say which — they are different approaches from Fraserburgh. We will not search a postcode that covers three miles of farms. Old Deer, New Deer and Mintlaw are three different doors from this junction. The old station-side plots need a unit. At night the A950 and A981 look the same from a farm road — the live pin is the only honest location.

When you call from Maud

Inland Buchan from Fraserburgh, usually via Strichen or Mintlaw. Longer than the A90 coast, shorter than Huntly or Deeside. Time with the pin.

NEED MOVED IN MAUD?

Call 01224 044741 or send GPS. At night, the pin matters more than the village name.
