You do not need an existing DSBM membership to ask for a recovery quote. Tell us where the vehicle is, what has happened and where it needs to go. We will confirm the work, availability and price before you book.
Start with the situation, not the paperwork
For urgent recovery, call 01224 044741. Tell us immediately if anyone is injured or the vehicle is in a dangerous position. If there is an immediate emergency, contact the emergency services. An online quote request does not dispatch a recovery vehicle.
For a planned move from home or a garage, use the online quote form. DSBM is based in Fraserburgh and handles recovery across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, with availability confirmed for each job.
Check whether you already have help available
You may have breakdown assistance through an insurance policy, bank account, vehicle warranty or another arrangement. Check with that provider before booking separately if you intend to use its cover. Ask whether it authorises an independent recovery and how payment would work. Do not assume another organisation will reimburse a booking you make yourself.
Give us the details that affect the job
- Your name, a contact number and the collection address or a map pin.
- The registration, make and model, plus whether you have the keys.
- What you have observed: for example, it will not start, a wheel is locked or there is collision damage.
- The destination and whether someone there can receive the vehicle.
- Access restrictions, such as a narrow driveway, underground parking or a locked gate.
You do not need to diagnose the fault. Accurate observations and clear photos, when safe to obtain, help us assess the equipment and work needed.
Compare the whole recovery price
Ask what the quote covers: collection, the agreed journey, loading and any additional work. Confirm whether waiting, storage or a later delivery would be separate. A low mileage figure alone does not describe the whole job. Our recovery cost guide explains the main details that affect a quote.
If the destination changes or the vehicle is in a different condition from the description, tell us before collection so we can review the arrangements. If paying is difficult, discuss the available payment options before confirming the booking.
Your questions, answered.
Do I need to join a membership scheme first?
No. You can contact DSBM for a quote for the individual job. Availability and the agreed price are confirmed before booking.
Can you take the car to my own garage?
Tell us the garage address and check that it agrees to receive the vehicle. We can then quote for that destination and discuss the handover.
What if I do not know where the car should go?
Say so when you call. We can discuss the collection and possible next steps, but a destination or any temporary storage must be agreed before the job is arranged.
