Twin villages · B9033 harbour

CAIRNBULG & INVERALLOCHY.
TWIN HARBOUR VILLAGES.

One headland, two villages, one harbour. Not the Broch pier and not St Combs — send which street.

Cairnbulg and Inverallochy are twin fishing villages on the same headland east of Fraserburgh, sharing a harbour, Maggies, and the B9033 from the Broch via Rathen or the coastal loop by St Combs. This is not Fraserburgh harbour and it is not St Combs beach car park. Shore streets pinch at Cairnbulg Point; fishing boxes, parked trailers and the harbour wall decide whether we send the big truck or a smaller unit first. The yard at 2 Fordafourie Cottages is a short local run. Name which village and whether you are on the harbour, the B9033, or a back street that a trailer cannot reverse out of.

B9033, shared harbour, Cairnbulg Point.

Inverallochy (Maggies) and Cairnbulg run into each other on the map; they do not run into the Broch. The castle ruins, the point and the lighthouse sit at the seaward end. St Combs is the next coastal village south, a different pin. Call 01224 044741 or GPS 07475 722702.

When you call from the headland

Which village, harbour vs B9033 vs a named street, registration, whether it rolls, and a photo if you are against the wall or blocked by boxes. Low cars, boat trailers and locked wheels all need that picture. “Inverallochy harbour” and “Cairnbulg Point” are not interchangeable for a driver who has not been down that close this week.

Harbour and street access

Working harbour, not an industrial estate. Tight shore streets, fishing traffic, spray and ice on the lip. We stage on the B9033 when the harbour mouth is blocked. 4x4s off the beach tracks are a recce, not a blind reverse.

Breakdown and accident recovery

24/7 from Fraserburgh: non-starters on Maggies streets, harbour vans, B9033 shunts, cars that will not climb off the point in frost. Home-radius coastal recovery, not long-haul.

Booked collection

Both postcodes and a harbour vs street note: quotes.dsbm.uk. Tide and fleet-in days change access.

Honest ETA from Fraserburgh

Short if the truck is at Fordafourie. Harbour congestion and a second smaller unit are the stretch, not the map distance. Time after the pin.
