The A90 is the spine DSBM actually runs, not a coverage slogan. From 2 Fordafourie Cottages the truck heads south through Crimond and St Fergus, the Peterhead slips, Hatton of Cruden, the Ellon bypass, Balmedie, the city approaches, then the AWPR merge and on to Portlethen, Stonehaven and Laurencekirk. This page is about that road. A town name without a direction of travel wastes the first minutes of the job. Call 01224 044741 or send GPS. Booked collections that happen to start beside the A90 still go through quotes.dsbm.uk with both postcodes.
Carriageway, slips and the stretches without a shoulder.
North of Aberdeen this is a mix of dual and older alignment: the Fraserburgh–Peterhead run, the Peterhead roundabouts, then the Ellon bypass where a broken-down car in lane one is a different job from a van on the B9005 slip. South of the city the A90 is faster, with Stonehaven and Laurencekirk junctions that police and traffic officers already know. Tell us the last signed village, which carriageway, and whether you can get behind a barrier. We will not invent a hard shoulder that is not there.
When you call from the A90
Registration, live pin, northbound or southbound, last junction, and whether it rolls, steers and brakes. Locked or missing wheels and a car sitting in a live lane need a photo. WhatsApp 07475 722702 if you cannot stay on the phone. Do not walk on the carriageway to find a landmark — the pin is enough if it is live.
Breakdown, RTC and a booked A90 collection
Emergency recovery is the call or GPS path. An RTC with airbags out or a wheel off is still that path, plus photos of the nose and the scene. A dealer drop or a non-runner collected from a lay-by on a booked date is both postcodes at quotes.dsbm.uk. Same crew, different clock.
ETA from Fraserburgh
Honest clock: a job on the Crimond–St Fergus stretch is a short run from Fordafourie. Ellon and Balmedie are the regular A90 south. Stonehaven and Laurencekirk are a longer trunk run after Aberdeen, and weather on the Mearns plus city traffic both move the time. We quote an ETA when we have the pin, not from this page.
