Locked wheels can have different causes

The car may have a parking brake that will not release, collision damage, a transmission lock or a mechanical problem. Tell us what you know and what happened before it stopped. Do not force it to move simply to check.

Photos help distinguish a wheel that cannot turn from broken suspension or a wheel that is no longer attached. Tell us whether the car sits level, the steering works and any component is touching the ground.

How recovery skates can help

A non-rolling car needs a workable destination. Confirm the garage knows its condition and has agreed where it will be placed. A tight driveway or rough ground should be discussed in advance.
