Fast traffic on the A90 here is exposed, with limited safe stopping. A car in Crimond village is a quieter load than a van on the southbound carriageway toward St Fergus. The Rattray / Loch of Strathbeg side roads are rural and dark after hours — the pin beats a postcode. Farm gates off the A90 need a name, not “just past Crimond”. The former airfield roads and the Rattray side are dark, with drainage ditches instead of kerbs. A village drive on Logie Road is a two-minute load; a van in lane one of the A90 is a live-lane plan. If you have already turned for St Combs on the B9033, say that before we commit to the trunk.
