On this winter recovery, traction, access and weather determined how DSBM could approach the vehicle. Snow changes more than the driving conditions: it can change the route and the recovery itself.
Access before arrival.
A road that normally takes minutes can become difficult to reach when snow drifts, traffic stops or untreated surfaces lose grip. This job called for a recovery approach matched to the conditions at the location.
Give us the clearest location you can.
A road name, nearby junction, GPS pin or what3words address is more useful than a general village name on a rural route. Tell us whether the vehicle is on the road, on a verge or beyond a track, and what you can see around it.
Weather affects the plan.
For a similar callout, we assess access and available equipment before confirming the recovery. Severe weather may change the approach or arrival estimate. Let us know promptly if your location or the vehicle’s situation changes.
Stuck in snow or on a verge?
Call DSBM with your exact location and vehicle details. Share a pin or photos when it is safe to do so.
