Maryculter sits on the south bank of the Dee on the B9077 South Deeside Road, with Blairs, the old college policies, and the lanes toward Netherley and Storybook Glen. You are not on the North Deeside A93; the river is between you and Cults. Access is estate drives, a narrow B-road, and farm yards that flood when the Dee is up. The Fraserburgh truck reaches this via the A90 and the south side of Aberdeen, not by pretending there is a Deeside depot. Tell us whether you are on the B9077, at Blairs, or down a private drive with a height bar.
B9077, Blairs, Netherley lanes.
South Deeside is pretty and slow. Coaches, cyclists and a river in spate eat the verge. Drumoak and Banchory continue west; Bridge of Dee and the A90 are east toward the city. Call 01224 044741 or GPS 07475 722702.
When you call from Maryculter
Registration, B9077 vs Blairs vs Netherley vs a named drive, whether it rolls, gate code or height bar, and a photo if the car is on gravel or in flood water. “Near the glen” is not a pin.
Estate and river access
No harbour. Estate policies, farm yards, a B-road with almost no hardstanding. We will not force a low loader under a height bar or onto a flooded haugh. Milltimber is across the river — a different route entirely if that is actually where you are.
Breakdown and accident recovery
24/7 from Fraserburgh: non-starters on the B9077, estate recoveries at Blairs, 4x4s in lanes toward Netherley. Aberdeenshire-local, not long-haul. Loading follows the drive and the river, not a slogan.
Booked collection
Both postcodes, photos of the drive, any barrier: quotes.dsbm.uk. Weekend glen traffic is a real delay — say if the date is a busy one.
Honest ETA from Fraserburgh
A90 south, then south Deeside. Longer than a Buchan village. City edge traffic and a second look at a height bar are the stretch. Time after the pin.
