MUCHALLS ON THE BRAE.
A90, NOT STONEHAVEN HARBOUR.

Cliff-edge village between Newtonhill and Stonehaven. Tight streets, railway, a truck that started in Fraserburgh.

Muchalls hangs on the Kincardine coast between Newtonhill and Stonehaven, dropping from the A90/A92 toward Marine Road, the railway and a shore that does not give you a hard shoulder. Village streets are steep and tight; a long trailer often has to stop on the A-road and work with a smaller truck down the brae. This is not Stonehaven harbour and it is not Cove. DSBM is based in Fraserburgh — an honest ETA is an A90 south run, traffic at Portlethen and the AWPR deciding the last half hour. There is no depot on this cliff.

Marine Road, the railway, A90/A92 above the village.

The dual carriageway is the easy pin; the village is the hard one. Railway, steep drops and parked cars on Marine Road decide whether we even bring the big truck down. Newtonhill is north, Stonehaven south. Call 01224 044741 or GPS 07475 722702.

When you call from Muchalls

Registration, A-road vs Marine Road vs a side street, Aberdeen-bound or southbound, whether it rolls, and a photo of the gradient if you are in the village. Low cars on the brae and locked wheels after an RTC need that picture before we leave the A90.

Coastal access notes

Harbour in the next town, not here. The working constraints are the railway underbridge approaches, the brae, and spray/ice on the shore streets. We stage above the village when a trailer cannot turn. Do not assume a low loader fits past the cottages.

Breakdown and accident recovery

24/7 from Fraserburgh: A90 shunts above Muchalls, non-starters on Marine Road, cars that will not climb the brae in frost. Kincardine-coast recovery from a Buchan yard — local to Aberdeenshire, not a long-haul product.

Booked collection

Both postcodes and a note if the car is down the brae: quotes.dsbm.uk. We may collect from the A-road end of the village rather than a shore street.

Honest ETA from Fraserburgh

A90 south the whole way. Portlethen, AWPR traffic and a second unit for the brae are the stretch. We will not quote a Stonehaven-operator time from Fordafourie.
