Alford sits on the A944 in the Donside valley, with B-roads toward Kemnay, Huntly, Strathdon and Tough. DSBM covers it from Fordafourie, Fraserburgh. Distances between safe stopping places are longer here. Call 01224 044741 or send GPS. Farm access and vehicle condition matter before dispatch. Booked collections: quotes.dsbm.uk.
A944, Haughton and the valley roads.
The A944 is the Aberdeen–Strathdon spine through the village. Haughton and the park roads are a different pin from Main Street. Craigievar and other rural spurs are named farms and B-roads — send the pin, not a castle as a postcode. Winter ice in the valley bottoms lasts. Haughton Park events, the heritage railway end and the A944 through Main Street are three pins that sat-nav lumps together. If you are toward Tough, Keig or the Strathdon climb, name the B-road; a valley-bottom farm is not the same job as a car on the A944 verge.
