Ballater sits on the A93 west of Aboyne, with the Pass of Ballater, Balmoral approaches and the road on toward Braemar. DSBM covers it from Fordafourie, Fraserburgh. Mountain weather west of the village can change route and ETA quickly. Call 01224 044741 or send GPS. We check live conditions before difficult winter work. Booked collections: quotes.dsbm.uk.
A93, the Pass and the Balmoral door.
The A93 through the village is the easy find. The Pass of Ballater is a different alignment. Roads toward Balmoral and Crathie are not a public car park for a trailer without a plan. Bridge Street is not the bypass. If the A93 is closed toward Braemar, say so — that changes whether we can reach you from the west or only from Aboyne. Bridge Street, the old station yard and the Pass of Ballater alignment are easy to confuse after dark. If you broke down west of the village toward Crathie, the A93 is a different winter road from the street you parked on for a takeaway. Send the pin while you still have a signal in the square.
