The A90 is the fast road above the village; the A982 ties Boddam to Peterhead harbour traffic. Down at the harbour the streets pinch and the wind funnels. Stirling Hill and quarry tracks are steep and loose — say if you are off tarmac. RAF Buchan / former station roads still confuse sat-nav; a pin beats a building name from 1998. Stirling Hill quarry tracks and the power-station roads are steep, loose and gated. A harbour cobble job in a low car needs a different trailer from an A982 roadside stop. If you are on the former RAF Buchan roads, a building name from the 1990s will not find you — the pin will.
